Going to state!

Featured Replies

Our schools cross country team qualified for state recently. Thats pretty big seeing that we havent done that in almost 10 years, and we won conference for the first time in 20 years. Nobody thought we were that good, including ourselves. We placed 8th at regionals last year, and 3rd this year, which qualified us. I led the team by running a 16:50 5k (3.125 miles) and placed 6th overall. The state meet is at the michigan international speedway in brookland this saturday.

from a former HS and D1 college cross country/track guy....Big congrats.

Thats awsome. Good luck and have fun!!

first part of anything is believing you can, so believe you can place well as an individual and team at state.

OUtstanding.

Just do your best.

Godspeed.

Excellent!

Good luck, I know you will give it your best.

kid on my old school's xcountry team got hit by a car on friday and is in pretty bad shape

16:50!!!!!!!  That's my mile pace ;D  I ran CC and track in High School, but quit running, started fishing, went to college, got married, and got fat.  I just started back running in the past few weeks and ran my first 5k since HS on Saturday.  It took me 29:12 to finish :-/

Congrats and keep running
