Is it wrong not to vote

Featured Replies

I exercised my right to vote today! I voted for one of the alternates for Governor of the

GREAT STATE OF TEXAS! In fact he is the ONLY CANIDATE that vowed to protect the

right to hunt and fish in Texas by making it a part of the state consitution! Some of the

candidates had lots of money, some ran their campaign on trash talk, others played the

vote for me cause I am a, "Grandma". But today I was feeling kind of, "Kinky"!

If ya don't vote, then ya can't gripe!

Well, I went and voted.  One line I voted for myself because I wasnt voting for the canidate.  But I did express my opinion in this years elections

Hey Ron sometimes the most active thing a man can do is nothing see Ghandi :D

I have a moral delima going on inside me this is the first time I have been able to vote and chose not to Im to the point where the lesser of two evils making decsions that affect our lives and ur childrens lives is not a good choice for me I confess that I dont have the answers I just felt the most honorable thing to do, to voice my opinion was not to vote. I aint tellin anyone else not to vote, I just couldnt bring myself to pick the lesser of two evils this time I have to think about the next tiem. I am not trying to insult the troops, or my country But I am fed up with things as they are

In today's world, all to often our choice is reduced to the lesser of two evils, which is a sad reflection on the state of our nation. I forget who said it so maybe someone who reads this thread will know but the quote goes "People get the government they deserve."

GMAN,

That is GREAT! I might do the same thing in the next BIG election!

Don't be swayed by negative ads and don't overthink the process. Simply decide which issues are important to you and support the candidate who shares your values.

It's not wrong not to vote, it's your right to make that decision, it IS wrong however to complain about you gov't. if you don't.

I don't think its wrong not to vote...but like the other guys said, its wrong to complain about the decisons made if you didn't vote.

I should have read Zels post eariler A WRITE In now thats a vote i can live with !!!!!!!!!! That is also a way to get the point across that the choices they are giving me are not worth a *(^*()

Not voting now that will really fix em   :o

Term limits? Is that not what voting does, limit terms?

It is very important to vote IMHO.

On your entire ballot there was nothing that mattered to you?  Or you just didn't know what the issues were so you staid home.

Here in my district in Florida, I got to vote for Governer, us senator, house rep.  on the national level

locally was mayor, city council members and president.

also referendoms on funding for schools, police, and road construction ***Just a note, these local referendums often have a very large impact on you personally.

I felt like my voice was heard.

Hey Avid we had one ref that I found intersting  It was REFERENDUM #11 PA

the question being here in the MOUNTAINS of PA If you get divorced can you still be cousins?

Good for you Gman that you voted.  Voting is a Right, and with that Right comes responsibilities.  In my personal opinion you now have every right and authority to complain about the process, the government, the politicians, the spending, the appointments, abortion, and whatever else your vote has touched within our democratic process, as you've now done something about it.
