I would like to extend my most sincere apologies to all members of BassResource.com who had seen my post about the rods.  It was done in poor taste, and wasn't well thought out.  I hope those who I offended can find it in their hearts to accept my apology, and will accept me back to the forum.  

The post was out of character, and will NOT be repeated.  

I really like this forum not only because of the valuable info, but because of the great members.  I never should have insulted everyone the way I did, and again, I am truely sorry.

I really had to bite my keyboard to keep from responding to that post especially since I had nothing good to say.  I chalked it up to a bad day for ya and hoped you would come around.  I appreciate that you recognized the slight and accept the apology.  You da man!

Speak for yourself, Paparock.  I am not human, but I do notice that you earthlings do have flaws.  Understand that it is this way on my planet as well.  I was just considering buying a Lemar Ultra Death Ray for hunting the Mammoth Trogloditian Tigerdog, and my wife told me I shouldn't be so selfish spending all of this money on myself.  Go figure.  We'll see if she changes her tune the next time she faces one of these loathsome creatures with her nuclear powered spinning needles.

Andy, we all make mistakes, and they are much more visible in the age of the Web. As a magazine editor, I see a lot of them. The advent of e-mail and and other forms of easy electronic communication have transformed many magazine letter-to-the-editor submissions from thoughtful, well-reasoned exhanges of ideas to what are often spontaneous exercises in poor judgment. It's too easy to sit at a keyboard and type stuff and hit send, as opposed to writing a letter, rereading it, and walking it to a mailboxall of which gives you a little time to think, "Do I really want to send this?" The point is that especially with forums and e-mails, we all need to really think a minute before hitting that send button. I can't tell you how many posts to this forum I wrote, reread, reconsidered, and never sent. (No doubt some stupid ones still got through. )

Okay, I'm off the soapbox now. You've eaten enough crow to satisfy me. . .

Mistakes will always happen and if one learns from them.......sincere apologies should be accepted......apology accepted.

That is the best advice I've heard in a long time. I pray one of these days to have the maturity to follow it. It is the second that is the hardest to do...

You are a human being, right? So, we make mistakes. The way the world is nowadays everyone is under some sort of pressure and we simply have bad days. I did the same thing on a post recently as I took what was said to me in the wrong way and made a rude comment. I felt terrible about it and apologized. The internet and writing can change the flavor of what you are attempting to get across to someone and  sometimes and we have to adjust. If you are the type of man whom apoligizes and recognizes when he made a mistake then that tells me that you have a good heart. Put it behind you, its over. Good luck on the water.

I remember your original post.  I think I was the first person to reply and commented on how this didn't sound like you.

Apparantly more happened after that but I didn't see it.
