Featured Replies

Anyone know what the weather is in Vegas for Feb?  Going to the CAST convention and was wondering what kind of clothes I'll need.

i wouldnt pack anything to heavy     jeans and a light jacket should be perfect   bring a jacket  that you wouldnt care if it got wet       semms everytime i go    ...2 times a year     it always rains one of the days

Yeah rain is very likely and youll probably see the nights get down in the high 30's low 40's

First time to Vegas?

Yes, Quick trip to Reno when I lived in Tahoe was the closest I got. Certainly not a gambler with my money.  Just women.

;)

North Face needs to know what I need for '07 clothing and I need collared stuff for events like this one but didn't know if I should get a few collared pieces in long sleeve too. I think I will. Thanks.

Well you certainly have your pick of both there!

What hotel you staying at?

Not sure, they are making all my reservations this week and I will have my itinerary by the weekend.

It always +/- 70 degrees, dark, loud and glitzy.

No clocks and no closing time.

Yes, they take checks, plastic, watches and souls.

Free drinks! for about $100 an hour, but you can still play as big as you want.

To save some money and still have a BIG time, see some shows, tour the casinos and buy your own drinks!

There is really a lot to see.

Clothes? Okay, on a serious note: slacks, Polo shirts and a sports coat gets you in everywhere.

You'll look great and be comfortable. Importantly, at least for me,

wearing a jacket gives you somewhere to keep things.

And you say that you don't gamble.....ROTFL ;D Money and women mix real well, I predict that you might need some. ;)

Forget the "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" stuff, we need a report when you get back! ;D

lol, these places are so "not me". I lived less than 1.5 miles from the stateline in S. Lake Tahoe. I used the casinos for the $6 buffets and the clubs, that's about it. With my obsessive/compulsive nature, 2 things I'm glad I never got into were drinking and gambling, let alone the 2 in combination, lol.  Still plenty to do, if fun doesn't find me, I make my own.

Thanks for the info guys!!

Make sure you wear your PASTIES so you BLEND

I resent that, I'm NOT an amateur.

The "temps" in Vegas can vary greatly, from $20 an hour to $5 grand a night!

Hey fourbizzle does that include the room?

  • Super User

;D, depends on the temp's relationship with management.

Pack your winter clothes LBH, it 's Vegas, the SOUTH, in the desert, you need something to keep you warm cuz those AC units are popped at Max and you can keep polar bears happy in those hotels and convention centers.

My best friend just got back from Vegas. He said they saw a ton of shows. He said the Blue Man Group Rockshow was fantastic. You know, those girls out in Vegas sound so nice and friendly. He brought me back some brosures that say things like---Hi, I am Jeannie and I will come up to your room for a visit or Hello, I am Candy, give me a call and I will be right up! What a bunch of friendly young ladies. Its hard to find nice friendly girls like that anymore. Be sure to use the Western Maryland country boy pickup line out there as well, " Ohhhhh-Weeeeee gal, you are prettier than a new set of snow tars!!! ;) ;D
