Pantera            " Cemetary Gates"

Lamb of God     "Ruin"

Slipknot           "Wait and Bleed"

At this present time Blue on Black by Kenny Wayne Sheppard

Y'all South Rock guys need to give him a listen

I have a hard time narrowing it down to any one song...though I will say ANYTIME I hear Soundgarden - "Blackhole Sun" I have to listen...man I love that song. A list of all the artists and bands I like would take a lot of time to construct since I like so many...but pretty much all of them are some form of rock. Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Alternative Rock, Metal, Heavy Rock, Blues Rock, etc. etc.

I will say that I just can't get into rap or country...I can tolerate country...but rap makes me wanna jam a sharpened pencil in my eye.

I agree with the person that stated this was immpossible to answer. I thought of looking at my top 25 most played on my Ipod, but I can't even decide between those!

Absolutely.  I've been deeply into music since the ripe old age of seven in 1967 (seriously).  I have so many favorite tunes I couldn't begin to pick them all.

I don't know that you can pick a greatest ever song without considering genre.

If you go by sales then "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby is the greatest selling song of all time.

I think there are quite a few really great songs.

But timelessness is a key factor. For example "As time goes by" sung by Dooley Wilson in the movie "Casablanca" was recorded before I was born. But I sing it to myself all the time.

Then again, "Hips don't lie", may not be remembered forever, but Shakira will always have a place in my old fart of a heart (sigh)
