Well they found cancer on my grandpa.

Featured Replies

Well I was talking to a family member tonight and found out our grandpa has cancer. They found a cancerous spot on his lung. But they found it soon enough so it hasn't spread yet. I guess hes going in on monday to get it removed. So tomorrow iam going to make a call to him and wish him luck.

I am very sorry for that too.  The great thing is that it was caught early.

I hope all will be well with your Grandpa.  Let him know he is in your thoughts, and be there for him if he needs anything.   Last Wednesday, I also was informed by my doctor that I have cancer.  My Gleeson and PSA score is relatively low-grade, and my prognosis is also good (95% survival rate) for about 10 years.  Now just have to decide which method of treatment to attack it with.

I am sorry, and I will pray for your grandpa.

Sorry about your grandpa. Thank goodness for the early detection. Be sure to tell him that he has a whole durned Forum thinking of and pulling for him...

First and foremost, prayer is needed. Also, be there for him. He needs you and the rest of the family's support. The good news is that a early diagnosis is critical and it seems this was the case. Treatment nowadays is state of the art and his chances are great to beat this beast. Good luck and my prayers to your grandpa, you and the rest of your family. :)

Sorry to hear that!!! Everything will be fine!!! Be positive and support him!!! And we will be here if you need support!!!

Sorry to hear.  My grandpa had colon cancer and had surgery.  He survived it fine and never had any problems afterward.  I hope the same thing is true for yours.

My mom had colon cancer about 4 years ago.   Her's had already spread into one of her lymph nodes, so she took chemo.  But with prayer and our support, she got through it.  been living fine for the past 2 years.

I'll pray for you grandpa and you.  It's also real tough on the family.

My grandma went through this last summer.  Even though she is fine, the chemo and radiation were he!!.  She was feeling horrible for months.  And, having to move, 4 weeks after all that didn't help.

Tipp,

Sorry to hear that.  My wife's grandmother might be facing that now (we'll know soon if it's cancerous).  I know several people who have fought and won the battle the the big "C" and live wonderful lives now.  I will keep you and your grandpa in my prayers.

God bless,

Fisher
