nano crank problems

Featured Replies

i've just bought 3 matzuo america nano crank crankbaits and none of the 3 will track right. they will run on their side or will do loop de loops, or try to run on top of the water. large amounts of splitshot on the line helps, but you must crank very slowly. i have tried 4,6, and 8 lb. test with and without a swivel. any suggestions ???

thanks,dennis

I bought one last year and thought I would just slay crappies all day with it. The very first time I used it I yelled "this thing is crap". The only way I could get mine to work was a very slow retreive, so slow it would not dive more than a few inches. I gave mine to my youngest son, LOL.

any suggestions ???

Take them back to wherever you bought them and exchange the lures for something else.

I suggest you do what Roadwarrior said.  Also, NEVER buy Matzuo.  It is Japanese for crap.

tuning doesn't help at all. neither does ballast weights. and if you reel slow enough to track semi straight, the lures have absolutely no action (wiggle). MATZUO IS JUNK !!!

thanks guys, dennis

Wonderful, I got a bunch of Matzuo EWG hooks on sale this past winter.  I have been using them and have had from what I can tell have had pretty good luck with them.
