Of course if a MMA fighter came to boxing he would have to BOX no grabbing or kicking he would have to go by boxing rules ..But any boxer goin to MMA fighting within MMA rules is going down i dont care if ur tyson ,lewis la hoya ,mayweather .And tyson is out of the running cause he got beat by a amatuer boxer and tyson even cheated tried to break his arm and still lost .Boxers have great hand speed and power and a great cardio but even against c rated fighters in MMA they would get beat

This is about Boxing, specifically the mayweather/ de la hoya fight.

I would welcome a separate thread on ultimate fighting.

I thought it was great fight.  It went kinda like I expected.  Floyd is faster so the numbers showing more punches was no surprise.  Floyd took some decent shots and gave back some good ones.  It was a tactical fight but that often happens when the really great ones get together.  That's why these are not great fights for the general audience.  but fight fans can appreciate the strategyand the drama.

I'm sticking with my call all along.

I thought it would be Mayweather by decision and it was.  

I don't how many millions they made for this nights work, but trust me - there's millions more to be made for the next one.

I thought as a fan it was DelaHoya...but as all of my buddies who are big into boxing Mayweather won the fight by the numbers.  Not sure how that works but no one 'WON' the fight in my opinion.  Overall with Oscar's aggressiveness and how they looked at the end I thought he had it.  Mayweather is just an arrogant punk and hopefully he takes one on the button ones of these days.

Very close fight.  I too thought that Oscar  had it at the end....*sigh*
