Flex-Tek FLEXIBLE TITANUM WIRE FRAME spinnerbait - any good ?

Recommended Posts

Good Morning -

Does anyone have any experiance (good or bad) with this bait. The flexible arm looks like it might come through the cabbage fairly well but I don't know if I like that wire weed guard . . . . .

I've not found them locally so I would really appreciate any and all input . . . .

Thanks in advance

A-Jay

Does the lack of responses mean there is not much of a fan base for this Flex Arm Spinnerbait ?

Well, I have never heard of it, but I guess I can't appreciate the "advantage". All spinnerbaits come through cover pretty well with the exception of snot grass. I don't see how this design would reduce or eliminate catching fine vegetation and bigger stuff (timber & rocks) isn't usually an issue.

Old idea with new parts. Don't have one and wouldn't buy one. The wire weedguard is a deterrent to the fish as it will stick them in the roof of their mouth when they take it in and they will reject it. It is just like the Snagless Sally and the original Uncle Buck's Buzzer. If you get one, bend about 1/4" of the tip down towards the hook shank to lessen that effect.

The wire frame is just a copy of another one made a few years ago using braided steel cable. That one is not in production any more if that gives you a hint.

Thank you very much for the replies - so many "new" baits end up as pure Gimicks - the price is a bit wacky as well - almost $12 ? ?

Thanks again
