If you think NFL player's are over paid..........I don't think there is a price you could put on this. Dr's. say he most likely will never walk again :'(. As a life long Bills fan, and living in the Buffalo area, there has not been a more sad event in the teams history. Lets hope and pray that the guy beats the odds.

Last I had heard, he wasn't even in the clear to live.

It reminded me of the Mike Utley incident many years ago.  Sad to see.  Hopefully he beats the odds and is one day able to use his limbs again.

this is a truly sad event. I had a close call last year during one of my games. The other team was on our 10 yd line, they did a toss to the left and I was the only one left in the path of RB he put his head down and I put mine down. After that we made contact helmet to helmet I felt this terrible pain shoot down my back. I went down and then somehow made it to the sideline but once I got there I just fell out on the ground in pain. After I calmed down I got a little better but it still hurt for awhile after that. Even though that happened in the 1st quarter it kept them from scoring there 2nd touchdown of the game. Our defense held them the rest of the game and we won 12-7 but if they had scored there they probably would have ended up beating us. If we lost that game our perfect 7-0 season would have been skrewed too. I'm lucky I didn't get more seriously hurt the way I hit him is what the doctor told us. Everyone who plays football knows though that when you put on those pads and that helmet you are taking a risk.

God be with Kevin Everett, the Buffalo Bills organization, and his family.

I've been following this since it happend and just caught that article about 30 minutes ago after I did all my fantasy football updates.  It's amazing the difference a day can make when god is looking down on you and knows you don't deserve to have your life taken away at 25 years old.  I am so glad he's progressing the way he is.  It truly is a miracle.  Hopefully there are no complications over the next few days, but it looks like he will be ok.  What a close call.  I bet the mother is so happy.  The doctors and staff did a great job with this guy from the moment of impact through the moments after surgery.  God bless Kevin Everett.

Amazing turn of events!!!!!!!!

Apparently the medical staff induced a mild form of hypothermia shortly after the injury and continued this to/thru his surgery.  Kind of ironic, I am pretty sure I read an article about doctors inducing hypothermia as part of medical treatment a month or two back.

Prayers sent to family and team mates.

I love the game of football, I hate seeing some one on the turf lifeless.

Great news of Kevin getting some movement back in his arms and legs.
