Another Phone :(

Featured Replies

I don't know about you guys but I can't keep a cell phone for any longer than a year without dropping it in the water and or toilet, losing the dang thing or leaving it some public place.  Needless to say.... I'm now in the market for yet another sprint phone.

Perhaps you should superglue it to the side of your head...

How on earth do you lose a phone???

What exactly are you doing that's causing your cellphone to fall into the toilet?   :-?

I dropped one into the depths of Mauch Chunk Lake, I always wear some kind of cargo pants/sjorts with a lot of pockets now and never stand up while I am talking on the lake!

I keep trying to lose mine, but SWMBO keeps buying me new ones.

I too am brutal on my cell phone. I have literally broken the hinge on 2 flip phones in a row. Never mind watching the poor thing take a tumble off the top of my truck as I pull out the driveway. Anyway I have a phone now that is supposedly tough enough to withstand the punishment I put it through. You can check it out here, as always Im not affiliated with this company.

So true if u drop a phone it doesnt apply it only works if the phone istself shows no signs of water or dropping. They dont have a "no questions asked warrenty " like shimano

I've been told that if you have to make a claim on a phone, tell them that you lost it, or it was stolen.  Otherwise you are involved in a big hassel trying to get them to fix it.

BTW-  My wife told me about another way (she saw on GMA) to remove water from a phone that has been immersed.  Pour a little rice into a bowl, set the phone in it, and fill it to the top with rice.  The rice will supposedly soak out all the moisture.

Hey guys, tease him all you want, but I've almost done this while flushing the work toilet (leaning over to flush while my phone was in my front pocket).

P.S.  After reading some of these posts, I see what Russ meant about our "sarcasm" getting out of hand.  Let's try and be nice, OK?

Want to hear a funny one.

My mom was at BPS once, standing on one of those bridges looking at the fish below.  Phone rang and she started digging it out of her purse.  Well guess what.  Plop, right down with the fish.  She had to have a bps employee get it for her.  When she told me that I just couldnt refrain from laughing.

I've had the same phone for a few years.  Some reason I cant lose it.  its old and crappy but it still works.

I'm not teasing.  Why would you take your cell phone into the toilet?  The last thing I want anyone hearing is those........sounds........ that needn't be heard by anyone other than myself...   ;)

Because it's in my front pocket all day.  For some reason taking a pee takes precidence over taking my phone out of my pocket.  We have four minute passing periods and rowdy junior high kids running into my classroom.  I just try to get in there and get out quickly.   :-[

My last 2 cellphones got destroyed cause I dropped them in the lake. The last one was really expensive and that really ticked me off. What I did was 2 get a cheap one that I use only when fishing. If I drop it ,I don't care.

The strange thing is that the cheap one even with the pockets open , it never falls out LOL

I am rough on phones but I have managed to keep the same razr for almost 3yrs now. Its been submerged, wet several times and dropped a lot more. I must be lucky? The outside screen hasnt worked for awhile now but don't need it to use the phone. If the phone gets totally wet I have always had luck with letting it air dry for a couple day, sometimes needs a new battery.
