Ben Franklin quote

Featured Replies

In light of the drought and low water, I thought this was a great line from Ben Franklin: "When the well is dry, we know the worth of water."

I like Tom Wait's take on that better" I never had a drinking problem until I couldnt find a drink"

Even better than that is Hank Williams' response when told that he was being fired from the Grand Ol' Opry because of his drinking problem.

"I don't have a drinking problem.  I get drunk.  I fall down. It ain't no problem."

Another good one from ol' Ben:

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." ;)

My favorite from WC Fields when asked if he would like to have something to drink besides liquior.

"Water, never touch the stuff.  Fish @#$% in it."

I'll let everyone figure out for themselves what the "@#$%" means.

Ya gotta love W.C. Fields:

woman: "Sir, you're drunk!"

Fields:  "Yes madam, I am, but you're ugly, and I'll be sober in the morning..."
