Kansas Jayhawks vs. Missouri Tigers

It has been a long time since either of these universities were playing BIGTIME college football. Tomorrow night's match-up has the "Game of the Century" potential. Kansas has been designated "home team", but playing at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is really neutral turf. I hope the game lives up to the billing.

Good luck to both teams!

I've been waiting for this game for a while, and with OU's loss, the winner has Title hopes.

I hope it's a great game!

I have only seen KU play once this year but, the they seem to have a strong team. I am undecided on which I would rather see win

I sure hope it's the "game of the century"  (speaking of " .."  I still think it's funny that everyone called the OU/Boise State game last year the game of the centry...only 6 years into the century)

Cheers to great football!

Well, for me the Huskers/ Sooners (1971) was the college "Game of the Century".  The "Ice Bowl" was the pro game of all time. Sunday's Dallas/Greenbay match-up has that same aura of a championship. I hope both games live up to the hype.

As a Mizzou grad, I do have a favorite!

Mizzou dominates, at least so far. Kansas has been flat, with only one big play all night.

28-7 with a quarter to go.

Kansas is finally waking up a little although it may be too late, but it is college football and I hope they pull it out and run the table.  Lord knows we need another basketball school as the national footbal champ.   ::)

So sorry, the game of the century was UT vs USC

Texas winning National Title is nominee for game of the century.

tonites game was win win for me.   Two Texas QB's, and another new team from the north plays for the title.  Big XII title that is.

Congrats to the Tigers.    Chase Daniels was member of the National Champ South Lake Carroll Dragons, which he never lost a High School game.

Kid got Heisman numbers.    What was it, 8 games of 300 yards passing.    Nothing shabby about that.

I have been so worthless all day long.  All I have done today is set in front of the TV and watch football.  Man, what a day to do it.  Mizzou played from the very start like they wanted it.  Pretty tough football program I have to say.   8-)

I was at the game.

The second half was more like I expected the game to go.  ie ... Both teams trading scores and whoever was held to field goals would most likely lose.  I do realize that Mizzou probably lost a little of the urgency to score, but the second half KU offense was more like what I was used to seeing.  But last time I checked the rules, you have to play 4 quarters ..... so we lose.  I DVR'ed the game, but from the stands it looked like we were a little tentative on both sides of the ball for much of the first and second quarters.

Mizzou clearly has a VERY good team.

Congrats to the Mizzou people here at BR

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!!!!

and BOOMER SOONER!!!  Even if a Mizzou win would help KU get to a BCS game.  I can't imagine giving some of the classless Mizzou people I was sitting next to the satisfaction.  My hatred for Mizzou has never been stronger.

Were you by any chance wearing a gray hooded jacket at the game with your hood on?  If you was, you made it on TV.  If not, you have a twin.   :-?

I was wondering the same thing, but you're probably right.

Brad is a MU grad.

KU_B, it's unfortunate that you had to sit next to classless people during the game. As I'm sure you know they do NOT represent the majority of Mizzou fans, and certainly not any of the Mizzou fans I know. Of course, as a KU alum you have probably attended many more events between the two schools than me (I'm not a MU alum, just a huge fan from Missouri) and have a different perspective based on your experiences than I do. I've been "involved" with classless 49ers fans and classless Cubs fans, but realize they are the few and not the majority.

The Kansas-Missouri rivalry goes back 100+ years, and is about more than football... but the game is just that, a football game. Congrats on a great year, but despite your unfortunate experience I will be pulling hard for the Tigers to beat OU and make it to the BCS Championship game.
