Grandpa Passed Away This Afternoon

Featured Replies

After a short bout of cancer, my grandpa, Carl "Nelson" Edwards, an avid outdoorsman and fisherman for life, has passed away today shortly after noon.  As I may have mentioned, he is the one who started my passion for fishing and was a great fisherman as well as a great man.

Please keep me and my family in your prayers this holiday season as we go through this tough time.

Thanks,

Aaron

OH man,

I am sorry to hear that. Keep your head up and think of the good times. Now go write them down somewhere. You will want to tell your kids one day.

You got some prayers coming from this direction.

I'm sorry to hear of such a tragedy TF.  My grandmother passed away about this time a few years ago.  It was hard to let her go, but I knew she was going to a better place.

You have my prayers.

That's some good advice.  I bet you will enjoy that.  Sure it will be hard and you will probably shed a few tears, but I also bet it will bring a couple smiles to your face reflecting back on all the good times.

Sorry to hear about your loss

So sorry about the loss of your grandfather but this is how families pass the baton from one generation to another.

You have some great memories so keep them with you at all times and share them with your children.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My grandpa is the source of my interest in the outdoors as well, I can't imagine losing him, especially now that I'm more into fishing and starting to learn more about hunting from him.

There's something to be said about the bond that the outdoors can create between two people.

I'm very sorry for your loss, TF, I really am.

Aarron, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. He will always be with you. Every time you go fishing you will think fondly of him and smile. I'm the same way, every time I go fishing I think of my dad, he's the reason I have this passion for fishing. I always dedicate the first fish to him.

You and your family will be in my prayers.

Aaron,

Sorry about your grandpa. Yesterday was the 6th anniversary of my wife going home to be with the Lord. Time makes the hurt subside and the memories can bring back a lot of the joy. Hang in there!
