and then there's the Super Bowl so,...5 more bowl threads coming, right?  ;D

Come on Russ, half of us will be cryin' when football season ends.  :'(

High school basketball is just getting good, college ball is in full swing, and baseball season is just a scant three months away.

Time to start pouring jigheads...

I just cant wait for March Madness to get here, great basketball and it means the ice is gone  

Well, the UEFA champions league is starting.

And in England the FA cup is just beginning.

The league games are getting fierce as teams fight to stay in the premiere league

And of course the world cup qualifiers are eliminating countries from the most important sporting event in the world.

Anyone want to guess what sport I'm talking about?

The last World Cup I watched, more than a decade ago it seems, was decided by a "free kick" after 4 or 5 hours of total boredom.

That is not boring. Ok as a true sport it is but as a "spectator" aka old guy watch and drool sport, it is not boring! LOL

After watching the Rose Bowl, I wished there had been at least one less.  Phooey!
