Any cigar smokers?

Featured Replies

No, I'm not talking about Swisher Sweets or White Owls.

This is a hobby that I'm really kinda getting into.  I really enjoy a nice mild to medium cigar, something along the lines of a 5 Vegas Gold and/or a Cusano 18 Double Connecticut.   Just wondering if any one else was into quality rolled cigars, and if so what do you like so I know what to sample.

I was always partial to a Padron Maduro 3000.  Nice and spicy.

Check out Punch as well.  I used to burn a couple every 18 holes.

I have a Punch Punch currently sitting in my humidor.  It got a little dry so I'm trying to save it.

UMMMMM.  the smell of a good cigar.

I used to like Macanudo's

then I switched to Te Amo lights

Now with all the cigar stores, when I get the urge,  I go in to the humidor room and by the most expensive one I can afford that day.

Romeo y Julietta was the last one.

Very nice.

Yo Avid. :)

I love a great cigar.  I'm partial to Simon Bolivar Piramides, Fuente Fuente Opus X, and Cohiba Robustos.

Gidget enjoys them too. :)

Another expensive habit?? Is there a Cigarmonkey too?? Geez, I don't think I can afford many more and keep the wife and house too:o)

bassfishng or wife?

cigars or wife?

testacles or wife?

I just gave up cigarettes about five weeks ago...but I do like a good cigar.  Cubans are legal in Korea....I'll probably take a couple or so cigars each trip.  I just have to be careful because I don't want to get started on cigarettes agian.  Third time quitting....never again.  If I can stick to 2-5 cigars a week, I'll be satisfied (I hope).

I've heard nothing but good things about Opus X.   My taste isn't refined enough yet for me to justify a cigar that good.  In time I will.

I've heard that if you are a fan of the Opus X, to try the Fuente God of Fire.   They are only about $25 per stick.

The Opus X is very good. A- Fuente Gran Reserva is also very good for the money.

Opus is one of the few cigars I will spend $20 or $25 on. Only smoke these if you're ready for a really heavy cigar though. There's nothing mild about them.

If your into mild cigars RyJ Reserve Real are good and you can't beat the price. Other good ones are the Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta, CAO Criollo is a great mild cigar. Very earthy tasting.

And IMO you can never go wrong with any Fuente made cigar.

Happy smoking.

In a former life, I owned a smoke shop. I smoked a lot of different brands over the years, but my all time favorite was the Royal Jamaican. I don't even know if they are still available.  Te Amo was probably my second favorite. Royal J. was very mild. Te Amo, fuller, more body.

I love cigars, maybe too much so I've decided to quit (one week today). I smoked two or three a day, I'm hoping in the future I'll be able to resume on special occasions.

That aside I discovered Rocky Patel Edge cigars a few months ago. These are excellent smokes and very well made. They run about 5 bucks apiece which I thought was a deal for this cigar.

I had Baccart (I think that how it spelled) on my 18th birthday. It was pretty mild with a strong wicked smell. My dad and I lit one up on backporch and sat down talked, smoked, and watching the fire burned.

I've been wanting to go to the smoke shop and buy an Al Capone rum flavor cigars. Anyone tried it? That baccart honduras cigar was last quality cigar I ever smoked. I tried a black and mild for heck of it, but it was too eh cigerretteish for my taste. I tried some honey flavor cigar I done forgot the name of it. It wasn't bad. It was like 1.69 at the sunoco.

I plan to buy some cigars for my guntersville trip. Something expensive. ;D. Just for heck of it. I'm not big on cigars, but I wouldn't mind trying a real good quality imported cigar. I havn't smoked since December.
