Yup, we have snow in my neck of the woods.  7 inches have fallen in the last few hours, and it shows no signs of letting up.  This is the latest snowfall ever on record in this area.

By contrast, it was 80 degrees last Saturday.   :o

I've never seen such bizarre weather patterns before.

What the...??!!

Welcome to our world here in New England. :)

A few years ago, it was 75 degrees a week before opening day (trout season)

I spent opening day cleaning ice from the eyes as we saw 5" that day.

Sunny and 70 the week after.

Snow on Easter is something we see every decade or so also.

Happens all the time in New England, you never know what you're gonna get till you get it.

That is a little on the late side Glenn. Here in Ilinois I remember all those years of umpiring. The HS baseball season opener was always the last couple of days of March. Some years you started inshort sleeve shirt and sweating. Some years in all the clothes you could get on. some years you started out sweating and a week or 2 later you were wearing all the clothes you could find again.

Spring is just an uncertain time.

You don't understand - there's never been snow this late in the year in over 100 years!  It's normally around 60 degrees this time of year, but this is more like February.

Had lots of hail and snow spitting off and on throughout the today.  Some areas had a few inches of accumulation, and there were even scattered power outages.  It's 32 degrees right now and more snow is expected tomorrow through Monday.

Sheesh!

Where are you located?

At my college everyone is very "earth friendly" and I had to take a couple courses that teach us about using the term climate change instead of global warming.

It's pretty interesting stuff, but to put in into shorter terms instead of getting "global warming" whats supposed to happen is the world  is gonna have more dramatic seasons.  Such as a longer colder winter and a longer hotter summer, and the spring and fall periods are gonna fade to practically nothing.  Atleast thats whats "expected."  Idk I really don't know if I buy into either situation, but it could be a factor into the wierd weather lately.

Just my viewpoint anyway, we've been having strange weather around here lately too and I've been thinking more and more about it

Although an interesting thought, I really don't want to get into a discussion about "the big picture" here.  Just astonished by the current situation.  It's too early to call it a "trend" as of yet.

I'm up in the Seattle area.

High of 70* here with that big yellow thing in the sky! I can't even imagine it snowing right now, sorry glenn.  ;D
