I'm looking for best price on a Remington 11-87 20 ga auto.  Best I've found so far is $599 at local Gander on "blowout".  Anybody have suggestions for places I might check out??

EBAY! lol seems you can find almost anything on there anymore

:-X

Did you even look at eBay before posting that?  Had you done so, you would know that guns are verboten on eBay.

Gunbroker is a good starting point, as is the Equipment Exchange at AR15.com.

My dad recently bought me a new gun at BPS to only find out later it was cheaper at Dick's. Never thought to look there considering almost everything at Dick's is overpriced. Sports Authority also has guns.

Checked those out Burley, nothing jumped out but thanks very much.  It's probably a good deal at $599 and I should go snap it up.  I think the MSRP is about $850 or so.

I've not shotgun shopped in years, but that price still sounds high.  Then again, I'm thinking back to the days when an 870 was $175 and an 1187 was $380 at Wally World or K Mart.

How old are you anyway?  ;)   You sound like you are from my era.

Unfortunately those days are forever gone.  You can get a new 870 Express for about $300+/- if your lucky and an Express really ain't anything special.  A new 870 Wingmaster might be had for $550- $600 if you shop it out.  Auto's have gotten spendy, $600 for a decent Remington auto is a fair deal..  Most used ones are going for more than I paid for this one. (yes, bought it tonight)  This one will be for my youngest son when he comes of age to handle his first full size shotgun.

Do you have a local gun shop to go to? Gander and Dicks over here with me are always too high on the guns you want even if on sell, at least around me. Whittakers for example has one for $325.00 but, its camo. I'm sure your no where close for it :(

Checked several local gun dealers.  This is the Premier Realwood model, not a Sportsman.  I should have been clear about that from the start.  I don't want synthetic.  The Sportsman can be had much cheaper but $380 is a pretty good deal for a Camo Sportsman I guess.  Nobody else had the Premier in 20 ga and told me they couldn't get it.  Just about everybody had it in 12 but I wanted 20.

I ogt rid of all of my hunting rifles and shotguns, so I really wouldn't know anything.  After Iraq twice, I don't allow any guns in the house other than my M14Socom for defense.

Try guns america.  Its like gunbroker.

Probably wont beat that blow out price though.  Sounds pretty good.

Thanks GMAN.  I looked and there are 2 on there.  1 NIB for $659 and 1 used for $649.  Both are more than I paid new with tax.  I don't think I'll do any better on price for this thing.  Now I just need to get it home and break it in on some clays.

HA!!  I missed my share last time, I need to work on that.  I missed 3 out of 25 and had some weak breaks I wasn't happy about.  Nowhere to go but up!!  I was using some new shells and they seemed to toss a hollow core in the pattern.... ;)  When I go perfect I'll let ya'll know :)

Yeah that seems to be my problem too. ;D

Keep us updated.  Best I've ever done is 24.  Never shot a 25.  I've only shot skeet and trap about 10 times though.
