VibraSpins & VibraShocks

Featured Replies

Has anyone been throwing the Karu's VibraPackages yet?

I've been keeping one or the other next to me on the boat, throwing it in time to time, I'd say I'll use it about 15 to 20 minutes at a time.

Got one 12inch on the vibraspin and one 14inch on the vibrashock(so far my favorite). I love the action of the vibrashock and I adapted to it well. I love how you can keep it at top surface and ride it all the way back to the boat, love the playing action of roller coastering it too. I'd like to figure out how I can get it to dive slower with out loosing the strike zone by still cranking it. The bass watch this thing, and when I let it dive they come up on it quick, but I miss the opportunity cause when I pause the cranken more it dives to fast, then scares the bass away or they quit on it. I still like the VibraSpin but, love the VibraShock ;)

The vibrashock is just about the only bait I use anymore.  Generally I just straight reel it in and various speeds, but my friend has been fishing them out the back of the boat with a crawdad trailer and has been yo-yoing them off the bottom with alot of luck.  I have caught a few fish on the vibraspin, but I catch so many on the vibrashock its hard for me keep using a bait I don't have much confidence in.  The vibraspin in my opinion is a little big, but I usually use smaller profile baits.

Well, I enjoy fishing the VibraSpin and it's very well made, but I have yet to have a strike on this lure.

;)

I just got back from my 2 week trip to Lake Gaston, NC and worked the Vibraspin for quite a while one morning down there.  I never had a bump.  In fact I couldn't buy a strike on any sort of wire/blade bait.

As I posted last month on another similar thread (RW's) I have had luck with this bait last fall and then early this spring.  Don't know if it was the cooler water that had them whacking it or not but since the warm-up it hasn't been producing.

My buddy fished the Boogie Bait (similar) last week and determined that it had to be worked nearly "dead" slow to get any results and he caught a mess of fish with it.  Could be that is the key, slowing it down.

I intend to fish the Vibraspin later this week and will see if SLOW is the key. The weather has been quite unsettled this spring so far.  Lots of wind and yo-yo temps along with fluctuating water levels.

Hmmm, yea the water temp has been in the low 60's where I fish at, mostly clear as well
