In 1975 right out of high school my wife Carol went along with her sister to keep her company while she filled out an application with Ma Bell. Carol's sister talked her into filling out an application while she waited even though Carol had no desire to work for the phone company.

Carol retired Thursday morning after 33 years  ;)

Seriously, congrats to her on a long and successful career.  She's entitled to a well-deserved retirement.

CONGRATS.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome, CONGRATS!!

My mom was also an operator for Ma Bell.  It was cool, because the Telecom Pioneers (retired telephone people) are a major volunteer group at our CAST events and a few of the volunteers knew my mom but hadn't seen her in 30 yrs.  Very cool.

Is she planning to volunteer with the Pioneers by any chance?

Way to go, Carol! Congratulations on your distinguished career and well deserved retirement.
