A Video Of Some Bluegrass Music From Our Group

Featured Replies

This is our group playing up at the West Virginia Capitol Grounds with our buddy Homer Hunter from Stoney Bottom, WV.  He is the one doing the singing, and I am playing the other guitar.  All of this picking happened at the Vandalia Festival, held annually on Memorial Day.  My brother, the one playing the banjo, won 2nd place in the banjo competition among several other players of different ages.

Enjoy!

That was great TF. What kind of box are you playing?

That is a 1964 Gibson J-50 owned by my grandmother, who I traded my other guitar for.  It was a terrible trade for her, but she wanted to pass the guitar down to me.  I had to make a promise not to sell it, which I won't be doing.  We had it appraised, and it was valued at over $3500.

Thanks everyone, and glad you're liking the CD Alp!  I'm having a great time using your rod, it works great and fits my grip really good.

its always a privilige to play with the older guys. looks like yall had fun

im working on a j-50 right now. i cant wait to play it

Mandolin would do in a pinch.

Pretty good stuff right there.

Thanks guys!  He came down last night for practice (Homer), and it sounded really good.  Our older neighbor who lives near us came over to listen and really enjoyed the music.

Thanks Aaron!

That was very entertaining.  God has really blessed you with talent.
