$2 a pound, I just have my sister bring it home when she visits.  She flew in last November with 5 lbs. of sausage, 5 lbs of proscioutto, 2 lbs. of capicola and 4 lbs. of mortadella.

I was running low...until now.  ;D

The Italian sausage we get here in TX has alot of the 'anise' thing going on in it, and i am ANISED OUT!!!!!      (licorice flavoring; for those of you not full of worthless info such as myself)

That is fennel seed and that is what make eyetie sausage so d**n good.

i didn't wanna get too far into the worthless info(especially while complaining about the eye-talian sausage thing) :-X
