Printer cartridges a rant

Featured Replies

Does anyone else think these are a huge rip-off

I still use the name brand ones I know I could go to some re-fill outfit but haven't done it yet.

We hardly ever print and it is always saying low on ink. It has been saying out of ink for 3 weeks and still prints fine.

I'm beginning to think HP means Hardly ever enough ink to Print with

I have a dell printer.  It tells me that I need to buy more ink when they're still half full.

I hate Dell.  I hate Microsoft.

Yep I think printer ink is a little over $5000.00 per gallon. And we think gas is high. ;)

You should try one of the printers I run a work.  It costs $300-$500 per cartridge.  I have been known to go through 3 or 4 a day.

Key word being work. At least it is their money.

I agree.

But when they have you by your b**ls your hearts and minds, and pocket book, will follow.

It gets my goat when I have to purhase those Lexmark cartridges.

Do you realize how many biats we could buy with the money we have to pay for cartridges?????

mine are 23.99 at walmart, but i get 'knockoffs' on ebay. 3 Pack for 20 bucks; delivered.       I've only got one dud in 5 years; and often times the 'remanufactured' cartridges are filled 'til full (instead of a certain number of milliliters)

Hey thanks Brent, guess I never thought about E-bay for those

Maybe I'lll give it a try

I'm with IHook on Dell.  And I agree that usually the "knockoffs" do hold more for your money.

Where would one go and purchase these knockoffs?

I have a laserjet that uses the big toner cartridges. I can get somewhere between 2,000 and 5,000 pages per cartridge at $40 a piece, that's not too bad.

Be careful with the Knockoffs sometimes they work, sometimes they don't

I have a HP photosmart tried the knock offs twice did'nt work went back to the HP brand have no problems

Have'nt tried the refill station at officemax/depot any success? :)
