yussssss

You'd never know he had a bad back....One of my favorites...

If it's too loud your too old. I guess I am, did meet them in a blues bar one night in Lubbock, Tx. They were just hanging out, they did get on stage and performed two songs, however.

R.I.P.   Dimebag Darrel

I miss Dimebag. But his brother Vinnie is a dang good drummer.

I just remembered, they played "Johnny B. Goode". And Dimebag totally rocked it. (see above post).

Supposedly Phil said some things when he left the band and was "quoted" saying that Dimebag should be beaten severely. Apparently somebody acted on it. I'm not to sure on the whole thing because I haven't seen the interview where he supposedly says it.

I guess it doesn't really matter anyways, a great guitar player was lost.

My all time favorite metal band.

That might not last too much longer though. L.O.G is catching up fast!

I really like them, but stopped listening after the Great Southern Trendkill...  I thought the next album, Reinventing the Steel stunk.

I think Dimebag was a very capable guitarist, but that a lot of people over-rate him because he was killed.

Thats the case a lot of times. It seems like people get noticed more after they die rather than while they are alive.

I loved Pantera from the start until G.S.Tk. They changed with that album. I still listen to the old stuff, but have others now. As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, War of Ages, Lamb of God are the ones on my Ipod right now, right next to my Viking/ Folk Metal favorites(Amon Amarth, Borknagar, Ensiferum, Finntroll, Waylander).

Amon Amarth,

I love Amon Amarth, but some of their lyrics bother me...

LOG=Lamb of God, right?

Anyone listen to Iced Earth?  Guitarist Jon Shaffer might be my current favorite.  He also has a side project Demons and Wizards with the lead singer of Blind Guardian.  Awesome band, I haven't found too much else that I really like these days.
