Ike reaches cat 4

Featured Replies

Hurricanes and tropical storms are strange and dangerous events.

Ike went from a troubling tropical storm to a category 4 behemoth hurricane in a matter of hours.  It's still pretty far east of the US but the forecast track has it aiming for my front door.

September in paradise.

Best we get ready again too. You know where that thing will set it's sites as soon as it crosses Florida.

Hang in there Avid...If you need a place to hide, bring your crusty self to Plant City.  We will find a place to stick you.....

If it gets into the Gulf, let me know. We can put up a few for a few days. That is unless it sets sail for us. If so, I'll be on the move too.

It sounds like I'll be speaking with you all in about 3 weeks (unless you are one of those who stick behind to meet ol' Ike!)
