By the time you reach a certain age you can't just pick 6 favorite movies.  My favorite movies tend to be movies that require some thought and/or provide a true surprise in the plot, not a twist that one can foresee or guess.  Keeping that in mind, here are six that would be among my many favorites.

The Game

Memento

The Others

Sixth Sense

A Simple Plan

The Usual Suspects

I really have to mention "Dances With Wolves" on any list of movies that I like.

The Highlander

Die Hard Movies

Tombstone

Batman Begins & The Dark Knight

Road Trip

Lethal Weapon Movies

Pirates of the Caribbean

Any Kevin Smith movie with Jay and Silent Bob

Starship Troopers

The Lion King

Serenity

Forrest Gump

Usual Suspects

Arlington Road

Way of the Gun

Lucky number Sleven

Shawshank Redemption

I know it's considered bad taste to quote your own post but . . .

I posted that Run Silent, Run Deep was one of my all time favorites. This past weekend I was eating dinner in the restaurant at the Bay City Lodge on the Apalachicola River and they had several adertisements from the movie posted on the wall. What a coinkydink!
