U-head

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen these new U-head, jig heads?  I noticed them at wal-mart and got a couple backs just because it was something different.  I havn't got to the water with them yet, so has anyone tried them out?

Not familiar with that type of jig head but Welcome to the Forum!

Thanks for the welcome! I really have read alot of very useful information on this forum.  And about the U-head I'm going to test it out in my sink with some floating worms, it might be the best "shakey" rig around and we just didn't know it yet.

i've never used them, but from looking at them, it kinda seems like it would defeat the purpose of a jig head.

i mean, if you have all that slack and free movement between your weight and worm, and you tried to slightly wiggle the worm, it seems like just the weight would wiggle, and your worm would be flat on the bottom. hope i didnt make that too confusing.

anyone get what im sayin?

No that makes sense, that was my initial thought as well.  For what little testing I did today I'm thinking about putting a creature bait on it like the reactive inovations sweet beaver and try to swim it threw some brush and see how that works out.
