Just got this in the mail, and am very impressed with Arne's work. Through a little investigating, I found out who makes the in house leather goods for Abel. Arne is also going to make me an 8' long 6" diameter rod tube for my rods to use when I travel. Now I just need to find an 8' long cow so there is no seam in the leather. ;D

Custom leather is always nice!  I have a few pieces that I wouldn't even sell for 3X what I have in them.  

Ask him is he can cut it on a curve to get the length and then stretch it back to shape (so it lays flat) when it's molded... you might be surprised.  I've seen some incredible things done with leather.  Or use a contrasting alligator, shark, or elephant accent band in the middle, so it looks like the seam was only to accommodate the decorative band.
