...and then gets killed.

On Fox this AM they had a segment featuring a Big Wheels Truck event promoter saying that the event was safe while being interviewed on TV.

He was killed last night when one of the trucks ran over him at the event.

I missed his name or the event details.

So anyone knowing about the accident please fill in the blanks.

Ironic, isn't it?  :'(

thats what it said on the radio here this morning, too.

i dont think this is a matter of safe it was a accident if u walk in traffic you will get hit also eventaully .this is just fire for the LIBS to ban/restrict >:( more freedoms we have

There was a 6 year old killed at a monster truck event just a couple weeks ago.

When I took my boys to their first auto race I told them this, (monster trucks can also be included in this advice)

Never, ever take your eyes completely off the racing vehicles when they are at speed.  When you spectate a race you are becoming a part of the event yourself.  Don't ever kid yourself that catch fencing can stop all parts of a race car that has crashed into the wall and disintegrated.  Your safety at a racing event is partially your responsibility.

ya, that bothered me when i heard that. monster trucks are a huge, powerful moving force in doors.

i have a hard time imagining how he could just walk in front of it like that?????

i mean, how could you not know that thing was coming!

do those guys wear soundproof earphones or something?

they have headphones on. from the video i saw he was looking one way and walking another, right into the path of the truck.
