I must agree.

That is a dumb ad.

It is also insulting.

Glad it cost PETA quite a bit of money to produce it.

Man, am I hungry for a steak all of a sudden.  ;D   ;D   ;D

I'd love to see the source material they cite for that commerical.

Wow, im pretty sure almost every man would laugh at that message when they saw it on the super bowl!

I think some good ol burgers and steaks sound good bout now!

Ummm.... very doubtful this was ever submitted to TV station or network. Networks have very clear guidelines, and this crosses those boundaries - WAY over.  You can't create a commercial like that without knowing it won't be aired.  It just isn't possible, I guarantee it.

I think the whole story is a load of PR crap. It's another publicity stunt for certain.  This time using the web to create a viral campaign surrounding the current-event-of-the-moment...this one being the Super bowl.  And it worked - here we are linking to it and encouraging people to watch it.

They're getting more sophisticated, and it's working.

Why didn't I see a sign-up sheet for case studies?  I woulda liked to have a chance to show them what a carnivore's got.

Actually Yes, PETA did submit it, but obviouusly NBC rejected it.

But do you really think PETA believed the ad would have ever been approved anyway? I guarantee you that was never part of the plan. They made the ad, submitted it knowing it would be rejected, which would mean they could put out a press release, and news outlets would pick up the "story", which would then get PETA free publicity. It worked!  I'm guilty!!

What's working?  Their efforts to ensure that every person in this country knows they are nothing but a bunch of kooks?
