My True American Hero

Featured Replies

Flight 1549 Pilot Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger.

I just cant get enough of the story.Anybody else here feel the same way. With all the negative's going on in the world, US,and athletes. He is my Hero..

I love his understated manner.  I could just hear him telling Katie Couric, "Why shucks, Ma'am, twarn't nuthin'."

In my own humble opinion the word hero gets passed around all to often the last few years, but the Hudson pilot is one case where hero was the first thing that came to mind.  Maybe I am wrong, but brave acts are different than heroic acts.  I don't know where that line should be drawn, I guess that's any persons' view.

Anybody that saves 150+ lives, is a hero in my book.

Did you guys see the story about his library book? It was on the plane.

He called the library and apologized for not being able to turn it back in!

Sounds like a great guy, would love to spend a day fishing with him!

Give it a couple of years.  He'll get pulled over for speeding and find out there is a warrant out for him because of late fees! ;D

Most heroes would not call themselves "heroes." They say they did what they had to do. He is no different. Nevertheless, he should be commended for his skills and for staying cool under pressure. Personally, I would have soiled my trousers, changed them, and then soiled them again. :)
