Never listen to commercials. :)

You must change the channel a lot. Since the merger, XM has been chock full of commercials.

Last time I'll renew my sub.

They may declare bankruptcy later this week. Their stock dropped 47% this morning from $.11 to $.06.

I was just about to let them know but you beat me to it. ;) There is still a lot of good free Radio out there.

Me2   :-?

I believe they are looking at filing Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.  It appears that they have been expecting this and have been working with some people (proabably lawyers) to prepare to restructure the company.

Sirius stock has made me a lot of fishing money. I have been shorting (betting against in hopes of a stock losing value) this stock since I turned 18 in november. I started shorting at 25 cents a share and now its at 7.4 cents a share. Its true sirius is filing chapter 11. This doesnt mean it will go out of business they are just rearranging their assets. In fact the stock gained 35% today despite bankruptcy talk.  They continue to take on overwhelming debt and keep purchasing loans that they probably will not be able to pay off.

What all this means for you (I assume the majority of the people reading this aren't stock investors) is that the price for a subscription will probably steadily increase in the coming months. If they don't raise prices or Sirius-ly cut debt and if the recession continues (it will) then you can say bye-bye to satellite radio as you know it in 2-3 years.

We got XM over three years ago.  My six main presets include 80's on 8, The Message, Classic Vinyl, Rewind, 70's on 7, and Hairnation.

I've been please with the changes since the merger with Sirius and I haven't noticed any commercials.

I, too, channel surf like crazy.  It makes my wife go insane.   :D
