What's with Google?

Featured Replies

I went to research the bassmaster classics today and when I googled it a whole bunch of spyware and mulware ads popped up when I would click on the links. Of course I know better then to click "ok" when a pop-up that is designed to look like my computer is telling me to click ok. What is up with that, Google normally does not allow those sites to even make it to the front page...

Thats happened to me before.  This thing that says windows defender comes up and it says you must download it to rid your computer of trojan virus.  I just leave the website whenever it happens.  It happened to me on some website supposedlly about the Potomac River.

Maybe you are already infected? Run your antivirus program or download the free version of Ad-Aware.

Yikes!   You may have a virus or a spyware program already installed on your computer.

I run Spyware at least once a week and keep getting the RIGHT MEDIA coming up as still on my computer.

So I delete it each time I find it.

You really need a good anti-virus and anti-spyware program with automatic updated downloads.

And please do not open a e-mail unless you know the sender. And even if you know the send you can still get a virus as the jerk sending the virus can send it via a friend's e-mail account without your friend knowing it.

I have the pop-up blocker on but I still get them.  I do not get the all the pop-ups on Google and if one should appear, I do not open it.

Good luck.  :)

The oldest had this pop up and she decided to HELP me by downloading... then the fun started... redirected to weird websites and it was running so slow it was crazy... of course it had to wait till I got home from school.. so I got to spend my first weekend home rebuilding the hard drive thanks to her wanting to "help"  :D

I actually had an avg pop up come on showing me being infected by virus' and I was to download a avg program to get rid of it, closed it out and what ever it was did affect me, I down loaded malware and it found 20 objects, It still runs funny, I don't think it all is gone.

I forked out some cash for prevention software, I wanna catch them first before they have to be gotten rid of after the fact.

I also HIGHLY suggest downloading the FREE version of AdAware!!! You'll thank yourself for doing it. Trust me.
