Jig brands

Featured Replies

I'm looking to pick up some new jigs--in the past I've been throwing Strike King Bitsy Flips, but I'm sick of the hook bending out and I want a larger profile.  Can someone suggest a jig that comes in 1/4 or 5/16oz. size, with a 3/0 to 5/0 gammie or owner round bend (not EWG) hook, preferably with a head suited to weeds and brush?

I am currently using three brands and testing another:

Evolution Jig: http://www.evolutionlures.com/evolution_jigs.html

(BassResource.com sponsor)

GMAN Jigs (long time member)

Mircro Munch Tackle (earthworm77, BR member and writer)

8-)

I think a Jewel "eakins" jig would suit you. I like the 5/16oz

Was going to say the same exact thing. My personal best this year came off this bad boy.

Karu's Poison tail jigs have given me some pigs as well.

Check out Gmans custom jigs too. You can find the link under his posts. Haven't given them a test drive yet but they are very nice.

Oldham's Lures Trailer Hitch Jig :)

I would say Proline but they have the EWG that you don't want.  I just started throwing these Revenge jigs and really dig em.

I like Evolution, Oldham, SK Elite Model and my hand made jigs. All colors, all sizes and all the time.

I'd send a message to harshman or gman here on this site.  One of them would probably be able to make exactly what you want.

I just got my first shipment of gman's jigs and they look real good!

Rattle Head Baits. Check there website out. They have a awesome jig.

Ordered one from TW this morning along with there spinnerbait. Going to see what all the hooplah is about.  :)

Plus I'm now addicted to slingin' jigs into timber.

dude just get some jig heads and some starflash skirts and make your own!!!!!!! starflash= :)
