working on the weekend. Yeah!!!

Featured Replies

So, I am actually not being sarcastic. I am working all weekend, which is a good thing because it means I get to pick a day or 2 during this coming week to FISH during the day when everyone else is working.

I am soooo totally looking forward to it.

Let the five day forecast decide your day off. Pick the cloudy/ drizzle day if you can.

Not a bad thing!

Nothing better than having the whole lake to yourself.

Last summer I managed to get out one morning (thanks to flex hours), and went out from 6 am to 9 am with my grandfather. We owned the lake. Didn't catch anything but small white bass, bream, and huge catfish. I can honestly say though that day fishing with him, was the best in recent memory.

The lake was flat like a sheet of glass, no a sound to be heard, sun coming up over the lake, was everything I like about fishing all rolled up in single morning. Didn't even need the fish (I will of course take 'em though). Got back to work at 10 am, walked around with a smile on my face all day long at work.

I definitely cannot have too many of those types of days.

You get the run of a lake around here on a Monday.  I like fishing weekdays, too.
