senko

Featured Replies

i have heard tons and tons of stuff about these senko things, and i am just wondering how to present it. they say just a little twitch in different threads, but like just barely or a couple inches? is there any trick to em at all?

There are tons of ways to fish senko type worms. You can rig them texas with a weight and fish them slowly just barely twitching them, you can fish them on a carolina rig, you can fish them whacky and use different presentations that way, you can fish them texas rigged weightless and fish faster in jerking motions...there should be a few techniques listed up top under fishing articles that I read when I first started fishing for bass

If you do a search on the Senko you will find more info than you will want to read.

The search feature is your friend!

I use swim senkos, usually weightless.  I twitch them twice to get the tail action, reel in the slack, let it sink for a few seconds and then repeat until I have reeled in the bait.

Check out the top portion of this section for the Senko post and read, read and read.

Also, check out Gary Yamamoto's web site for more on Senkos and you can see all of the color combos and sizes that are available.

You need to learn how to fish them both Texas and Wacky rigged.

There are knockoffs of Senkos and you can use them, too, as they are less expensive.

Read, read and read and ask, ask, ask your questions.

Senkos are super baits and you have to learn to use them to be a successful bass fisherman.
