I'm sure a lot of you are experiencing this rain. It has rained everyday here for a week! Ky. Lake is on a fast rise. TVA predicts it to be near 365 by Tuesday but the actual elevations have been ahead of their predictions. It has rose over 2 ft. in 2 days!

That's cool. I'm fishing that one so let's see...the bass should be biting 1/8 oz. rooster tails in about 120 ft. of water around then. : J/K

I don't know how long the high elevations will last. As soon as they can they will let it go. The deal is though if the river gets to high, they gotta hold it.

There was three different paterns working well last year when the lake came up like this. If you could find a place to get in behind the trees, spinnerbaits. The old lake line (359) was another good producer but, I flipped the bushes.

This sounds a lot like Kerr Lake at 305 ( My home lake ) so we ought to fit right in.

There's a pretty good pattern for how to build an ark in Genesis 6.

CJ and Frogtog, I'll have to look for ya'll at that tournament. Our club helps Triton with boat checks, and the weigh-ins.

As for the rain, I think we have at least a thirty percent chance everyday leading into next weekend  

We've recorded around 1.5" so far today, more on the radar heading this way.

Makes for a fun night at work, that much is certain.

It's supposed to rain here every day this coming week.  Yesterday and today it poured.  First weekend I haven't fished at least some for several months.  Saturday looks good.  I'm off the week of May 11 so I hope the rain is gone by then.

Chris, if you'll pay the freight charges I'll ship you my Ark.  I got it finished just before we got 7" of rain.  I didn't have time to load a bunch of animals, but I did see a couple of Hooters girls walking up the gangway.   ;D

I had a BFL there this weekend. We floated over where my boaters truck was parked the day before. Most docks & slips were only accessible by boat. We were on one of the last boat ramps still open and I wouldn't doubt if it's closed today. This stuff is getting ridiculous.

I have a college tournament on KY lake this coming weekend. Hope it gets back down some. (wishful thinking right? ;D)

Also I went turkey hunting this morning by a smaller reservoir here in KS and a dried up river bottom I normally hunt in was FULL of water. I'm guessing 15-20 feet deep.

3" over the last four days.  Forecast this morning said 30% chance of rain for the day, nothing on the radar.  So I hit the lake to look for beds.

Fished for 45 minutes, felt a few raindrops so I threw on my rainsuit.  Glad I took it with me as the clouds opened not long after.  Rode it out for about 45 minutes, never let up.

At least I know my bilge pump still works.
