Fox said that he needed the drugs as his sex drive was low and he wanted to get it back.  :)

Manny is human,

These kind of athletes are in every sport, they just haven't got caught yet. Baseball players are just as much overpaid as NBA and NFL players, the whole sport thing I remember is gone, when they started having shoes named after them and shows that are used to exploit their riches that's when it changed. Kids now days grow up about sports much differently than I did. As a kid I remember we wanted to be a player for his skills not the other way around as it is today. Its about how much you can get paid. We'd probably do it too for millions given a chance, don't kid yourself.

Yea sometimes I'm disgusted with them and other times I realize their human, so who wouldn't do something like manny did just to be able to hit big so you can ask to get paid big.

Its sad anymore :'(

The two biggest factors that turned me off about baseball.

The ongoing witch hunt that has consumed years and years of the same rhetoric.     The same horse has been beaten to death 1000''s times over  and the final chapter still hasn't been written to end it.  Its still on going.

Roids as a whole has not effected the game, what it did do was taint the record books.

How many homers did Sosa hit with a corked bat?    Who knows?

How many pitchers slipped in a vaseline ball here and there?

Cheating was around before Steriods was invented.

1. Since Veeck moved the fences back when the opposing team was up, and then he hired a midget to draw walks, yes cheating has been in baseball.NON OF IT HAS AFFECTED GAME ONE IOTA AS STEROIDS,.I say this because both the commissioners office and the union, knew it was going on wholesale and at the same time they stacked new rules in favor of offense and Team Values and Salaries skyrocketed during this mess. That is not coincidence!

2.With hunt: The union did their own testing, results of which were supposed to have been kept secret. They expected a handful of positives, what they got was 103!!!!!!! and not all players were tested That's proof not a witch hunt.

3.Knicked balls, vaseline and bat manipulation has not changed the game one tenth of what this era has done, not even close.

HR Production and Slugging percentage have increased more in the last 10 years ( percentage wise) than during the whole history of the game.

Inside pitching is not legal now, Stolen bases are at an all time low, and baseball players look life linebackers now, it has ruined the game it is a disgrace.

What do you know about baseball, your from Canada. Go play some hockey!!!!!!! :D

Just bustin on you Trippy ;)

Basketball > Hockey  :)

I'll add one more that I haven't seen talked yet. Thats the wild card, I for one got turned off from this. I don't see how a top team should be taken out like that.

I still catch the games here and there, Cardinals are still my favorite, wacthed them tonight against the Reds and wouldn't ya know the strike zone got HUGE >:(
