No, I wouldn't currently buy any American made vehicle, not even a Ford.  

i think this is a wake up call for the 3 .they better make superior products after all is said and done  2 many cheifs not enough indians ..but that can be said about most businesses anyhow

That figure doesnt really mean anything except Ford's marketing program is solid. McDonalds is the number one fast food chain but their food is almost as terrible as their service. Im not going to buy something just because a lot of others buy it.

Since GM is using the taxpayers money to build their vehicles in China, I'll never own another one. Generally I dont care where vehicles are made but I have a problem with funding this concept since that doesnt help us.

My mother owns a newer Tacoma, I may end up buying one if Toyota doesnt plan on releasing their diesel in the near future.

I don't know how anybody can afford to buy a new vehicle. However, if I could afford one, it would be Toyota. My current truck is a 1987 Chevy S-10 Blazer. I've NEVER been a Chevy man. Had 4 before this, and that would have been 4 too many if one hadn't been a Corvair. That was a great car. I've put a LOT into this Blazer, but it has proven itself to me. I just went from Phoenix Arizona to Worland Wyoming for a family funeral just after having the tranny rebuilt. It ran flawlessly and didn't use a drop of oil or trans fluid in the round trip, 2,263 miles. Total gas expenses, $250. I'll run this truck as long as parts are available. Happy fishing.

Doesnt have much to do with the O (though the O shares the mentality), but it doesnt come from borrowing from China to pay for tax cuts and stimulus checks. I always get a kick out of people who are for tax cuts but complain about Chinese imports - does not compute!  

Without getting political American manufacturers of any product will have a very difficult time in competing price wise with the present healtcare system.

Many other countries either subsidize or socialize healthcare taking the burden off the manufacturing company, resulting in  a lower delivery price.

If anyone has paid healthcare for their employees you know exactly what I'm talking about, it's very expensive here.

If it suits what I happen to be looking for , I'll buy it ,no matter who makes it. People who are brand loyal are missing out . JMO

I've owned three Dodge trucks and one of the three would have been a keeper, (two '99 and one '00...the later being the keeper).

Even though one was a home-run,  i'm done with Dodge.

Chevy left the ball-park years ago.......although my wife reeeeaallly likes those dang  HHR's or whatever the heck those PT Cruiser clones are.....
