I Love Acronyms

Featured Replies

My gun club is having some construction done so there is a porta-potty on the grounds for the construction workers to use. The company that cleans the porta-potty is called Advanced Septic Systems...

I told one of the guys I shoot with that Advanced Septic Systems should start a spin-off company called Septic Holdings Industrial Technologies.

That way, their slogan can be: Advanced Septic Systems, the maker of Septic Holdings Industrial Technologies.

I Love Acronyms...

When my ARMY unit disbanded, we needed a new title, we were tank mechanics, so I came up with Armorment Support Shop, and we always answered the phone as "@$$ shop, how can I help you?".

Love it!!!!!  ;D   ;D   ;D

The other day I was out in B.F.E., got in a fight with some D.B. and got K.O.'d. Was A.F.U. for about 3 days but was thankful I wasn't T.U.

^ figured it all out except the T.U. i'm sure some people found it a little FUBAR :D ;D

Toes Up = dead. I've heard people use another part of the human anatomy for the T word.  ;)

IBM used to have an acronym glossary that was 200+ pages. You needed the decoder at some of the meetings.

I worked in the ESD and STD divisions. You can guess what our nicknames for those were.  :D

Gotta love it.

Must refer to government now.

Oops. Can't get into politics.

Sorry

When I was in the Navy this was a perpetual state of being.
