I saw this when it was first released, but it's not the kinda

movie Hollywood reviewers like. I guess the female version

of Death Wish just doesn't jazz "the critics". However, for my

money, The Brave One rocks!

Pretty decent flick and I enjoyed it.  I don't put a whole lot of stock into the movie critics, what matters to me is whether I liked it or not.

I will rent this and am sure it's a great movie but I stop listening to actors once the credits start rolling, even the great ones. We, as movie goers pay them to act like someone else; not for who they really are. That doesn't make them hypocrites, it makes them good actors/actresses who are also opportunists. Personally, I'd rather listen to a garbage man tell me about his views on society than Jodie Foster.

P.S. That article seems to explain why she bats for the other team.

 Have always liked her movies. Anthony Hopkins might have gotten best role in "Silence of the Lambs" but if they had put someone else in as Clarice, the movie wouldn't have been as good...
