Fast Food Value Menus

Featured Replies

The slow economy has affected the fast food industry...studies show people are eating out less.  This has benefited us with the fast food 'Value Menu'.  McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, as well as many others have a separate section of items all under a dollar (as you all are aware of I'm sure).   Now fast food chains are battling each other as to who has the best or cheapest items on their Value Menu.  McDonalds has a double cheeseburger on the dollar menu....this is a steal!  Having eaten two of them today, I had to admire at the bargain.  This is a substantial little burger with two patties and two slices of cheese.  Two of them filled me up and I only spent $2.  This is good and bad....Americans are fat because it is quite a bit cheaper to eat unhealthy food versus healthy choices.  I just wish these dollar menus were around when I was in college.

The Natural Menu Choices: I am hungry, haven't eaten all day. New rods from Diawa out today 400 each rod. I have 400.99

His solution: Bought the rod, was last seen digging in car seat looking for the penny to make a dollar for the double cheese burger

The McDonalds around me have changed the $1 Double cheeseburger to a $1 McDouble.  The difference is that the McDouble only has one slice of cheese.

Still good and when I eat at McDonald's I get 2 McDoubles and a medium choc shake.  The grease tastes great, but I typically don't feel so well after eating it!!!

I was just at Burger King and they had signs for special deals throughout the week. Monday= 2 Chicken sandwiches for $3, Wednesday= 2 whoppers for $3, Friday= 2 fish sandwiches for $3

In college the value menu really shines during the late night hours  ;) beats gas station food any night

Yep, BK ran a deal, two combo meals for $5 when I was in college.  My roomate and I ate there at least once a day, sometimes twice.  It was cheap, but it took a lot of work, to lose all that weight after I graduated. :-[

My first Mc Donalds cost 15 cents a piece, fries a dime, and it was fast. These days I may stop in maybe 2-3 times a year, it's anything but fast now.

I went back home to Detroit a couple of months ago, on my to do list was White Castle.

Anyone ever hear about a Detroit slider, great fast food.

Don't forget about the original value-priced fast food...Ramen Noodles!

aka hypertension in a wrapper.

the jack in the box here is offering the "big deal" cheeseburger, taco, fries and drink for $3, not bad except for the taco, its bad, but i eat it anyway, kinda has this pasty sorta meat stuff in it.  just load it with hot sauce and your good to go.

A fraternity brother of mine would eat them uncooked!!!  He'd sprinkle a bit of the seasoning on a corner of it and munch away.

Needless to say he was one of the crazier guys in the fraternity!

Taco bell value menu beats McDonald any day.

X2

That's not SO strange. My aunt makes a salad from uncooked ramen noodles and cabbage that is actually delicious. Here is the recipe

I agree. Taco Bell can't be beat with those prices.

That makes you crazy? I did that all the time! I got a few of my fraternity brothers doing it too :P. I also cooked them up and tossed them with olive oil balsamic vinegar and some Italian seasoning it made a delicious meal.

Also if you haven't tried cooking an egg into the oriental to make an egg dropish soup then you dint do college right  ;D

Just let me know where you're going to be and I'll clue you in on the locations.

Your closest location is on Rt. 19 in Lebanon.  You're only about 5.5 hours away.  They open at 6AM tomorrow morning.   ;)

I'll meet you there for breakfast.   ;D
