Spinnerbait help?

Featured Replies

I've built up a collection of spinnerbaits due to the baitmonkey....but  I do not really know how or where to fish them, also im wondering if they work good in clear water?

I fish them around boat docks in stained and clear water. For clear water I prefer double willow blades.

I work them over grass and around timber mostly. Its a great bait for me in clear water. I like a 3/8 or 1/2oz BPS Enticer series with a translucent colored skirt (can't remember the color number) with double silver willlowleaf blades.

I prefer to throw all my spinnerbaits (1/8oz up to 1oz) on a 7' MH baitcasting setup with a 5.1:1 gear ratio reel spooled with 17# test flurocarbon.

i do good with em in shallow water, usually slightly stained, but a spinnerbait is really versatile in any water conditions. i like using smaller baits for some reason, seem to get more bites, and not always smaller fish either :)
