I grew up in Buffalo, NY and I find everytime I visit, you don't go the the museums, the sites, etc. It is the food. The wings, the pizza, Buffalo style beer battered fish fry, Mighty Taco, and SUBS ooooh some of those subs.

Good thing I moved. I would weight 400 lbs by now if I didn't.

I'm sure I could find good stuff in Charleston or Clarksburg, but I like the stuff from NY.

Sweet italian sausage with plenty of fennel seeds

The sauce is just a quart of local tomatoes and various additions.  Just one of my usual concoctions.

yeah, i like the high fennel content as well.

I like spicy, double fennel, made on the spot at Costanza's.  Got about another week before he closes shop for hunting season.
