anyone else think some of the calls and noncalls are a bunch of Big12 bs? For example, the "running into the punter" where the punter basically stepped on the guy trying to block it? And then there were TWO clear block in the back penalties that weren't called on that long punt return when the OU returner caught it on the goal line and ran it back into Miami territory (or at least close to it)

I love it when Big12 teams lose. Especially to ACC teams with QBs who can't throw.

There were some questionable calls but Harris is a pretty d**n good quarterback. I'm guessing you haven't watched him much, because that guy can throw.

He can complete passes but he can't throw. it's either his arm is weak or he is timid. He never puts the "umph" on the ball. You will see this result in a)underthrows on deep plays b)throwing behind receivers which makes them lose their stride and gain fewer YAC c)throwing lollipops to receivers in the flats and hitch routes that result in the player getting crushed when he finally does catch the ball.

Just watch for it. Everytime I watch him play I can't help but notice how long his passes float.

And I've watched every one of their games this year.

I am usually the LAST person to ever admit this, but my BIG12 conference is looking like a bunch of bums. It hurts my heart to say it, but I have got to face the facts. At least my longhorns are still undefeated, but I don't know if that will last. This season has been full of dissapointments this year. Oh well, all I can do is hope for the best.

I have come to believe that the Big12 has been grossly overrated the past few years (which is why I was so happy when its "three best" performed so poorly at the end of last year). Sure, they beat up on each other and score a lot of points but then they have trouble when they play teams that are very good. We'll have to wait to see how good Texas is. They have a cakewalk schedule with the exception of Oklahoma (who has basically been "meh" so far with losses to BYU and Miami, neither of which are teams that would be considered "elites" or championship contenders) and Oklahoma State who is still questionable.

I think the Canes are a little under-rated. They could beat any of the Big 12 teams including Texas and that dam Boise State team but I don't see them beating a big SEC team like Bama or LSU.

I'm not sure they're consistent enough. They played terribly against VaTech. They are DEFINITELY better than they have been in recent years but I still don't think they are anywhere near "elite" again.

Yeah, they are better than they have been the past few years but nothing to get overly excited about. VT exposed their many weaknesses on offense and defense.

That being said...I am glad they beat OU. That's a big win for the Canes as well as the ACC.

Go VT!!  ;)

Hey 5bass, nice job laying the hammer on DUKE!

Lmao!

I am a big 12 fan, Oklahoma state Alumni, I didn't want to see OU lose but then again it was a sweet loss, but hey we have 6 teams ranked in the AP top 25, that says something now.... granted we will all have to wait and see for the bcs standings since that is all that matters

IMO the voters are a big part of the bias.

The Canes are real this year!  Losing to VT at VT is not a bad loss,  Much more than what I can say about my sorry _ss Noles, come on losing to USF and then BC!
