My great aunt found this poem and I think you guys will get a kick out of it.

Dear lord please let me catch a fish

A ten pound bass is my wish

My special lure just let him bite

And I will reel him with all my might

The weather is right and the water is clear

Please send some big fish over here

I know there's fish, some fit to keep

Way down in your waters deep

Lord please let me stay afloat

and guide my little fishing boat

oh just send me the big ole one

some time before this day is done!!

Good luck on the water everyone and may next fish be bigger than the last.  :)

Sweet! I think ill wood burn that into a peice of wood to remember it and hang it in my fishing shed.

One my pa and i always say when we go fishing is ,

Bass, walleye, catfish, trout.

I'm tellin you know you best watch out.

You where safe in the lakes while i was hope wishing.

But be on your guard!

Hey you, beautiful river. It’s been a while since we’ve been together, but I can’t keep you off my mind...I’ve been dreaming about you letting me travel through your water while I thrust my paddle to travel up your stream... Because if I’m honest, river? I love you. I love your canyon where your granite points its fingers into the moonlit sky. I love your water, slippery and frothing, cradling my yak as it draws me into a calm pool below when finishing a beautiful ride. I love all your little secrets beautiful river...your hot springs, the rocky eddy’s, the tight gorge and how you swell...I love paddling around your two tight bends and finding that your canyon still wants me to continue on my journey once again. Hey you, beautiful river. I can’t keep my mind off you, I miss you, I love you.
