Quit Chewing tobacco= bait monkey on my back

Featured Replies

Even though my wife is happy I quit, she says it was probably cheaper if I still chewed. I recently quit using skoal mint (which I still miss) over a month ago. Since then, I have rewarded myself with a number of new lures, etc. So, whatever money i would have spent on chew for the entire year of 2010, is now gone. For example, $289 at BPS in MD, another $400 at tackle warehouse this past week. Another $100 at cabelas last weekend, and $60 at dirtyjigs.com. Looks like I have a new addiction.

I think your new addiction will fill your life with more happiness, and you will definitely be better off health wise.

Proud of ya for being able to quit. Don't let up.

Good job. Any tips that helped. I am in the same boat.

Look at the bright side(s).

One way you spend lots of money and have nothing except possibly spending more money to fix the problems it causes.

With out the habit you spend money and at least have "stuff" to show for it!

Keep it up good work. Find some other habit to curb you spending. Working, excersize, reading watching fishing shows ( record them if you need to).
