Anyone who wants to bash BSU schedule

Still feel the same...sorry. I know it sucks, but I'm not changing my mind until they play a schedule that is tougher. (I believe I read that their schedule was ranked 61st in toughness this year)

If noone will agree toplay them, how do they get a tougher schedule? I get what you are saying, I just don't think you can hold that against them.

Above average team that plays a weak schedule ;)

Oregon (7) 10-3

Miami (OH) 1-11

Fresno State 8-5

Bowling Green 7-6

California-Davis 6-5

Tulsa 5-7

Hawaii 6-7

San Jose State 2-10

Louisiana Tech 4-8

Idaho 8-5

Utah State 4-8

Nevada 8-5

New Mexico State 3-10

TCU (3) 12-1

No one will play them because they have nothing to offer!

True, they don't play in the SEC.

True, the conference is weak.

But what about Utah/Alabama or BSU/OU?  They have proved that they can play with the big boys.  They deserve their shot.

To further Catt's point, take a look at the schools that even have winning records? who did they beat? I think Boise can play with anyone for one game. The national championship teams from Florida, Alabama, LSU have shown the ability to beat every team, or nearly every team on their schedule in the best conference in the country. I would like to see what happens to the teams from TCU, Boise, and the like if they played a pac ten, big ten, big 12, or SEC schedule of games.

That being said, Boise and TCU put on a hell of defensive show last night.

agreed. One or two games doesn't prove a whole lot. It's unfair to the teams that don't have a cakewalk the whole season like BSU always does.

I guess you can't blame BSU if no one will play them, but I can still believe they aren't deserving of a BCS game. For me, a team has to earn it.

Wow , they only playd one quality team !!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont believe that artical for a second, if bsu's ad wanted to get a game scheduled he shouldnt have a problem, plus hes got plenty of time to get it done.  I think this was just a clever ploy so that maybe some other athletic director will see it and make an offer.  I mean they got VT this up comming season how hard was that to get done.

They're playing VT at FedEx! I might try to get tickets to that game.

Next year, they have VT in VT , and Oregon ST/Oregon, they roll their conf again, two signature wins if they win is all they have prior to bowl selection.    Nevada got all their wins off the bottom feeders in their conf.   Not one team in that conf offers a signature win to help BSU strength of conf schedule out, not one good win out of conf.

Great program, not deserving.  This year.

In the small boys defense, Utah is 2-0 in the BCS, BSU is 2-0 in the BCS.

When you give coaches 30+ days to scheme, anything is possible.

There needs to be a playoff as simple as that. I'd say if I'm BSU right now I'd be telling ESPN "We are the national champs!". I'd put it up on our stadium, I'd run TV ads during the "national championship" game doing some type of buy the BSU National Champion TV shirts. I'd even have it say if Texas or Alabama has a problem THEN COME PLAY US! Simple as that! BSU beat everybody

they could and have now won two BSC games in what 3 years? They made a fool of OK not to long ago. I'm not claiming there better then anybody just they literally couldn't have done any better and in my mind when you do that your Nation Champs in this F'd up system.

But they are having trouble getting a game. I saw this on sports center when they first announced this offer. I figured that in no time a team like Texas Tech, Miami, any Big Ten school, or another major school outside of the SEC would take the offer. But nobody has. The offer is real, someone needs to take it.

And also, they have everything to offer. If a team beats them, they are one up on everyone else with the same record. Not to mention the coverage this game would get. It would no certainly be on national TV. Expose is what every college team is looking for, and by playing this team you get it.

Even if they do gain tougher opponents, I won't feel any different about them unless they go into one of the large conferences.

Why?

That never stopped Notre Dame.

I also saw them talk about it on college football live back in november, the anlists didnt believe it either, there comments were something to the effect, he should get on a plane and go to the schools and have face to face conversations, has he tried that yet?

Honestly I think they should out the teams that have turned them down, otherwise people (like myself) will speculate that they aren't trying to make it happen.

It's no secret that Boise has been trying to get some better schools on their schedule for a few years now. With them doing so well recently, I think it will only get harder for them to get better opponents to agree to play them.

Big 6 schools have nothing to gain by playing Boise St.  They have everything to lose.

They landed in the bowl game that they deserved to be in. With that being said, it is still a flawed system. With them winning their bowl game and returning a lot of starters (21, I think) they should be ranked somewhere in the top 5 at the beginning of next season. If they can win out again next year, they may land in the champ game by default.

Other than Smurf Turf & gimmick plays what does BSU have to offer?

Ah nothing  ;)

And LSU will not pick them up for 2011 why?

Until a major school has the nuts to book them for a regular season game your argument has little to stand behind it.

How does Boise st recruit. Granted, ive never been to Boise and it might be the most wonderful place on earth besides Disneyworld. I dont know if it is the coaching or what, but there is something in the water there that is turning out a respectable program. Honestly i hate Boise St, but every year they do nothing but win.Maybe its a soft schedule, or whatever, but every bowl season everybody is saying the same thing." Well now we are gonna see what they can do against a good team, Oklahoma, TCU, Etc."And every year it seems they win. NCAA defitnatley needs a 6 team playoff to figure this out. Speaking of recruiting, how does Hawaii not have the best recruiting class every year.  Really? Nobody likes perfect weather, Beaches, Hula dancers. So what your on an active volcano that could go at anytime, your drinking kool-aid out of cocconuts and getting a sun tan.
