I am kinda interested to see what a cross section of our forum does for a living?!

Officially, I am a, "Conversational Marketing Expert"

what that translates out into is a Marketing and Recruiting Rep for a Contact Center that specializes in Blood Donor Recruiting and Scheduling for some of the countries biggest, and best Blood Banks and Blood Centers......   In short, I make sure the hospitals can save lives!

(In redneck, im a highend telemarketer that does good work, not like the crappy evil telemarketers that call and harass you to buy Credit Cards, or satellite TV)

Im also our company new Social Media Engineer, what that means, is I run our Social Media Services branch of the company, offering our clients services like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and stuff like that.

So, lets hear it, what do you do as a day job!?     And Glen, dont say run this page forum.... lol ;D

you should hear all the calls my Dad gets. He has given with a few different agencies and he has AB- which is super rare. They call him, send him emails, mail reminders, etc...virtually every day.

I have told them numerous times I can not longer donate but them still keep it up. Pretty soon I will own the place.

haha. ok, so this wasnt meant to be the bash the phone guy thread.      I deserved the link to the old strand. i was doped up when i started tis thread. and apparently i got a little chatty.

And no, a Conversational Marketing Expert is not the name for the new telemarketer...... a telemarketer is someone who calls prospective customers to sell them services or products or to request the callers time to complete a survey or. in rare occasions, ask for a charitable donation to an organization.

I dont call u unless u donate blood in the first place. and the places u guys r from isnt anywhere we cover calls from.

Just so u know. they have to call u from the same number, they have to let the phone ring at least 3-4 times in most states. and they have to remove u from their calling list if u say these majic words,

"Take me off your calling list."       At this point, if they attempt further to get the sale, survey answered, or anything along those lines, say it again. then take legal action.

Just DO NOT, under any circumstances, just hang up the phone and assume that will fix the issue!!!!!

That just means to most low life call centers,   "Call back. Im not home right now...."

Hope that helps.

And again, sorry for the inconvience. No more popping pain killers then posting all over the forum pages!   I Promise! ;D
