NOVA, ever had a Bear Republic Racer 5?

No I have not.  What style of beer is it?  Good stuff?

O Dear God. Smirnoff Ice...someone get this guy a man beer... like a Zima.

I guess it wasn't obvious I was kidding? ::)

I'm still at that point where I don't care about tastes, as long as it gets you shmammered. ;D Unless it's Natty light or Corona. Anything else I'm good.

try natty ice

It's an IPA, but not quite as intense as the 90 minute. Its super drinkable for an IPA though. One of my favorites. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/610/2751

Oh, I have no idea what Zima is so I had no idea where you went with that. haha

I really don't care for any of it. None of them taste "good" to me. Coors light is preferred though. ;D

Anything with natural in the name can be flushed down the toilet.

that's where it ends up in half an hour anyway.

I dont know why you guys have such a problem with things like  Smirnoff Ice, Zima, vodka/cranberry, etc etc.

I love all of those drinks... Girls drink them faster than a manly beer ;) ;D

I can see why you would want girls to drink faster, being a lightweight and all. Must be tough getting drunk way before any of the girls do. ;D

Mike's hard lemonade....Even i drink that stuff.

It's pretty much the only alcoholic my wife will drink.

My personal favorites are Sam Adam's cherry wheat(for sipping),Milwaukee's best Ice and Bud Ice for getting buzzed or plastered.

Bass Ale on a regular basis but when I want to treat myself, Chimay, it is heaven in a bottle.

Took the words right off of my keyboard Uncle Leo... Chimay is like silk. In the end, though, I like so many beers, my two favorite are:

cold or free... and if you can get both, then life is truly good!

So I bought a small bottle of the Chimay (Blue Label) to try tonight based on the recommendations from this thread. It's pretty good and probably excellent if you like that style of ale. It was much smoother and easier to drink than the Scottish Ale I mentioned previously, but by 2/3 of the bottle (11.2 oz) I was done with it. I guess the malts just wear me down. I would say it's an excellent sipping beer.

It is for enjoying not drinking, try the Red Label.

Good man. Dead Guy has a cult like following, and for good reason.

I agree, and I like the Red Label better myself.  Like Chimay, Orval is another outstanding Trappist beer (brewed in a Trappist abbey, and brewed by or under the control of Trappist monks).

Warsteiner Dunkel

Spaten Oktoberfest

Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Octoberfest, Conways Irish Ale....Well now that I think about it, I like to drink all of their beers

McCewans Scotch Ale

Sam Adams

And if I go to a bar with poor taste in beer, I'll slum it and drink Bud.

I do like Abita's beers, but it's hard to find around here.

Just had one tonight to cap off a great prime rib dinner. Good beer. Thanks for the recommendation gents!

Genesee Cream Ale

What ever the Canadian Gold Medal Women's hockey team is drinking haha

Richard

Probably Zima.

Miller High Life in a bottle with salt. GOOD STUFF 8-)

I was watching a beer show on History or Discovery channel the other day. I did not know that Bud Lite has less alcohol than Budweiser. I knew it has less calories, but they said in certain States that Bud Lite has nearly 1 percent less alcohol than Budweiser.

No wonder I like heavy beer! ;D ;)

Pabst Blue Ribbon. America's best beer in 1893/quote]

Haha go pick yourself upa 6 pack and check the bottom right of the label/can. "Selected as America's best in 1893"

And for a dollar a piece in some of the bars here in Columbia, its tough to go wrong.

If I was a young guy I would love to study the physiology of taste.  I would love to find out how some people just love the taste of hops and some of us can not choke down a hoppy beer.  If all I could get was an IPA I wouldn't drink.

I went on an out of town fishing trip a few weeks ago and the guy I was rooming with told me how he had splurged and bought some "good beer."  I was disppointed when he opened a cooler of Heinekin.  That stuff just defines skunky.

My normal, everyday beer is Amber Bock, but I'll also drink a Newcastle if that's available.
